Community Service

  • The Community Service committee is charged with identifying  areas of need within the community and recommending how the Community Service budget will be distributed each year. In addition, each month the club participates in an Act of Service.
  • The Community Service Committee recommended donations to the following organizations:

    • Oak Mountain Missions
    • Aldridge Gardens Education Programs
    • Hoover Helps
    • Hoover City Schools Foundation
    • Hoover Parks and Recreation Foundation for Inclusive Playground

    • St. Vincent's Bruno Cancer Center
    • Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama
    • Alzheimer's of Central Alabama - Project Life Saver
    • Hoover Public Library Children's Programs
    • Kid One Transpot
    • Prescott House
    • Autism Society of Alabama
    • Lovelady Center
    • Grace House
    • Alabama Parkinson's Fighter Walk

  • The monthly Acts of Service in 2017-2018 were:
    • September: Food collection for Bluff Park United Methodist Church Food Pantry
    • October: Food Collection for United Way Food Bank at Green Valley Baptist Church
    • November: Food Collection for Oak Mountain Missions
    • December: Provide volunteers for Grace House Gift Wrap Booth at the Galleria and collect diapers for Bundles of Hope
    • January: Collect items for 3 Hots and a Cot Homeless Shelter  
    • February: Collect items for Support our Soldiers
    • March: Easter Baskets for United Way Food Bank at Green Valley Baptist Church
    • April: Provide volunteers for Lord Wedgewood Benefit
