Flora Mae Pike Award

The Flora Mae Pike Hoover Community Service Award is presented annually to a Hoover resident to recognize outstanding volunteer service. Members are encouraged to request nomination forms from the Flora Mae Pike Award Committee chairs.

The 2024 Flora Mae Pike Award recipient was Cindy Bond, College and Career Specialist at Hoover High School. Cindy was honored for her role in developing and streamlining the Hoover Service Club Application process. The process was moved to an electronic format allowing students and advisors to more easily submit scholarship information. Cindy Bond has been an advocate for Hoover Service Club scholarships and the educational opportunities extended to Hoover City School students.
